This first exercise attempted to translate 2D surfaces into toolpaths for the little robot. I initially tried following this Create from Path tutorial that illustrates how to make the edge-curve of a 3D object into a toolpath, however I was unable to get the imported geometry to be recognized for the ‘Make Curve From Edge’ button. So I manually placed points, and used a laser pointer (and a laser pointer / LED combo) to generate these images:
